Ah a little baby beeza with 5inch alloys and a 0.18T with 0.2V engine putting out 15.6bhp as standard! I hear if you look after them properly and care for them well then you don't have any problems when they grow up! If only Seat looked after ours when they had their babies! LOL

I am somewhat confused?

Glad its sorted, but how come its taken until now to figure out is a duff coilpack?

Well its been ok to be honest, just playing up now and again and i think they have been going 'slowly'

I will keep an eye on it once these are done and if there is anything else wrong then i will get another MAF although i had one about four months ago (not that it would mean it hasnt gone again)

Lol

Hey alex im pleased to hear its nearly sorted..

Just wondering what symptoms your car has at the moment as i have a few problems right now.. Ive also got some new spark plugs to fit saturday and i also have a coilpack to try swapping.. Not sure if i should be replacing all of them though ?

My car basically has problems when putting my foot down.. Seems to reach the same psi as it would before but then has real issues and starts drastically loosing power and making some funny noises if i try to keep my foot down.. Also seems to hit limp mode quite a lot but releasing and reapplying the accelerator seems to fix it for a minute...

This anything like you been experiencing ?? Probably not :(

Hey hey,

Hhmm that does sound kind of similar! I just was noticing it wasn't boosting right and kept pulling right back, now a lot of people say coilpacks don't 'start to go' they just 'go' but i dont think that is the case

Anyway, it cut out three times on me whilst driving so i started to get a thought that something wasn't sparking right...i got the new plugs (NGK Platinums) but haven't got around to fitting them yet...

It just got worse really and then when i couldnt't even get past 40mph without it misfiring, i decided not to drive it until i sorted it! Plus i was getting fault codes like 'Random/Multiple misfire' and 'Cylinder 1 & 3 misfire' and the peeps at the meet on Tuesday kind of confirmed things too so i have ordered four new coilpacks and they should arrive this morning

I hope for it all to be fitted by lunchtime and then can get VAG COM on it tonight ;)

Have you had yours on VAG COM?

Oh and you will probably hear people say 'Just change one coilpack' or 'Change all four' at the end of the day it's up to you and your money situation, but i would say it's better to get all four...if all four of the ones you have at the moment were bought at the same time then chances are if one has gone the others may go soon (and i said may there) :bleh:

hmmm obviously you've never had a coilpack fail on you

however it does sound like plugs or coilpacks but which one is anyones guess. trial and error

No i have never had one go and have had my car two years now so not bad going really ;)

Yeah exactly! I just decided to get all four because of the fact i have never had to replace them, the chances are if i just did 1 & 3 then 2 & 4 would have gone
