Having read through the forums about the noise of the carbon filter tank when idle, I found little discussed about this noise when accelerating. When I push the accelerator in my Mk2 Leon 2.0L TDI, i hear a faint clickety noise eminating from the dash at the front drivers side position, almost within the air vent by the door.

It is definately louder than it used to be, yet is a faint clicking noise and I am beginning to wonder if it is normal. Now most of you will believe this to be the noise of the carbon filter, yet this only happens when the car is NOT idle, and when the accelerator is pushed. It is only audible from within the cabin at low speeds. :help:

To make it easier, it almost sounds like a hardrive clicking noise

Im beginning to wonder if its the exhaust suffering a slight leak. The clicking only happens under acceleration, and there is also a knocking noise from the front right passenger side when going over bumps and dips at slow speed
