CD Changer Mk3 Ibiza Chill

Hey i recently bougha 6cd changer from ebay and i plugged it into the already wired loom via the boot (the connections are the same) I pressed cd on my standard stereo and it doesnt load up the cd. I know there is power to the cd changer I can heare it whizzing and it ejects the cartridge for the cds. Any idea whay it shouldnt work?
