Just wondering if anyone can help me out with this. I bought an 04 Leon Cupra two months ago with the Seat 6 CD Multichanger fitted as standard. Just this past week its stoped working. To begin with it displays the usual 'CD1 TR1' and then after displaying that for about 3 seconds continues to display 'CD ERROR'. It repeats this same process through all 6 CDs, then goes back to CD 1 and repeats again, and again ect.

Has anyone else had this same problem? Im grateful for any suggestions!

i had this turned out to be a loose connection at the back, i kept hitting it for weeks until i got round to removing it, re-connected and working fine ever since

It basically means get looking for a new one! I tried the cotton wool bud thing and it never worked. You might be lucky. Fingers crossed.

Mine had this CD ERROR message all the time clean anything thats white plastic inside and the 2 black sensors on the top of the carriage
(These sensors light up when reading the cd when you load the cassette)rub themwith a cotton bud and cd cleaner. Also clean the laser. Since i did this mine works fine and never had the message come up again.
Your unit is not broken it just needs a clean!!!!

I occasionally have Error problems with mine, my personal opinion is that mine does not like copyed cd's and after ejecting the cassette and putting it back in it normally fires into life:shrug:
anyway keep a look out on flee-bay and on here some go fairly cheap;)

I just sold mine on the bay for £60. You could try cleaning it out a bit but sometime that can give you other issues.

I will get round to cleaning mine at some point just after I have mopped up the passenger floor from water leaks, and sorted the ground to earth eml issues, would give it back but love my cupra!!!
