centre console light staying on

hi all my mk3 cupra turbo ibiza console light stays on when key out of ignition and car locked which in time kills my battery
any ideas as i can not figure it out

when you say console light what exactly are you referring to??

the centre console dash where the heating etc is and radio settings etc cheers

I take it pressing the button on the radio doenst turn it off? as a temporary fix you could pull the fuse. If not it might be a duff one and could need refurbing

no just stays on permanently, thats what im doing at the moment pulling the fuse, so u recommend tryind different console

its a common fault. i have one at mo that does it. i want to have a look at the board and see if i can work it out but its time

there are people that repair them tho

any idea where to get any centre dashs from cant find any anywhere
