I have called SEAT UK and they deny that my 01 1.8 20VT Cupra was meant to be recalled. It has split at the opposite end to the brake servo.

Is this something I would need specialist equipment or can I just take jubilee clips off and bang on a new one?

Cheers

I don't but I spoke to a mate who explained what the vacuum hose does etc. I have now taken two hoses out, both of which had splits. The car often sounds like a jet fighter with a real whinewhich I had assumed was the fuel pump but now I am thinking it may have been one of these splits.

Just need to know which way to install the one way valve when I put the new pipes in. Does air flow from or to the master cylinder?

You shouldn't be able to blow throw the valve as it points to the servo - but you should be able to suck.

Thank you. I don't think getting it the wrong way round would be a cunning plan!
