Does any1 know of (or maybe done it themselves) a guide to changing suspension springs? Ive done a search and it mentions one but cant find a link?? Any help would be mucho apreciatedo! :worship:

your best bet is to pick up a haynes manual for the mk2 Ibiza - the suspension is the same.

it's pretty straight forward & the haynes manual makes it sound more complicated than it actually is.

Hi, i just changed mine few weeks ago, i did not need spring clamps to get the shocks out either! you need a 21mm cranked spanner on the top of the shock so you can undo the spring after the shock has been removed from the car. Its relativly simple if you have the right tools! the hardest part was gettin those friggin black top mount covers on lol.
tools I needed:

19mm socket and spanner
21mm cranked spanner
set of socket allan keys

For the rears you need a number of 15mm &16mm spanners iirc

Good luck

Yeh it is really quite simple. Again the only problem I had was the black covers... Just wouldn't go in... [:@]

Thanks for the replies makes me more confident i can do it myself (maybe with a lil help) All i purchased were the springs themselves (second-hand) do i need anything else to get them to fit, adaptors etc...? I'll get my hands on a Haynes manual today, cheers Mark!

I was thinking i might need something like that, trouble is dont think i know any1 with any? Can u rent them out or something?
