Hi, one of my Xenon bulbs blew today I've ordered two as best to replace in pairs and they'll be here tomorrow.

I looked in the manual and it says you should have a trained technician change the xenon bulbs and also mentions the risk of death! :/

Is this something I can do by myself will the headlight need to come out and any special precautions I should take like disconnect the battery? I had a look behind the plastic cap on the back of the headlights and I'm not sure how the bulbs come out, is it a twist and pull?

Many thanks.

You can do it yourself, I had a guy at Halfords change mine and he just ensured the ignition was switched off and the key was out (apparently he was specially trained for Xenon's). Then just swapped it as a normal bulb. Its a bit tight but it can be done without headlight removal. Check one of my past posts to see my story of woes when a Xenon headlight is damaged and removal if your bored or want more info incl how headlights are removed. Note though I spely Xenon wrong Xeneon from memory :)

Xenon's use very high voltages to power them thus the risk of death..... Or I should imagine if you swallowed one it could kill you 2 :)
