£1000 can buy you a Revo, Forge DV, Relocation kit, (Induction although not too my taste) and maybe a Hose Kit of some sort.

That way you will be looking blinging and get some real performance gains with the map

A carbon enclosed air box like the BMC CDA is what ya want! Around £150-£180. Looks good, Sounds good and improves performance!

i was looking at one of these. they recommended then ?

it doesn't, that is for the LCR/TT/S3 with the K04 turbo. it is called a turbo intake pipe (TIP) they are available for the LC but look slightly different. look here........... http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&cat=1305&product=FMGOLFIND

can you get the upgrade to a k04 in the standard LC ?

it is possible but it isn't just a case of taking the K03s off and bolting on the bigger K04. you'll need;
exhaust manifold,
downpipe,
TIP,
MAF,
injectors,
and either the twin side mounted intercoolers or a front mounted jobby.


i've probably missed some other parts but you get the general idea
