I have done some browsing on here and noticed there are quite a few cheap mods that can be applied to my Cupra R 225 and wondered if people had opinions on what is best in what order.

I have ordered an induction kit already and am considering the forge yellow dog bone bush aswell.....

Im looking for a few things that are less than £100 each to add stability / performance before I come into some more money later in the year and go for the remap / exhaust upgrade.

Thanks in advnace o wise people.

forge 007P replacement DV is a very worthwhile mod. as are the dog-bone bushes as you've already mentioned. i've also gone for some forge 10mm spacers on the rear wheels with longer bolts, it has sorted out my twitchy rear end.

Drive another car for a few days then go back to the Cupra.

Will seem so much better!!!
Best and cheapest mod to appreciate the car even more

how do you make the diy short shifter, i have a 110tdi leon, not sure if its the same?

Scotty do a search on "diy short shifter" it came up the other day basically you move the pin for the cabel closer to the pivert pin.
I'm going to do mine soon.

when i get my car from gearbox repair, im going to make one of these, only problem is where can i get the pin from??

how comes it will not work???

If you do manage it I'd appreciate if you tell me how! take a look at the pictures on the link that was posted, then go and look at your shifter mech., which is on top of the gearbox, just below and to the left of the airbox. They are loads different! The cable that goes to the airbox side is the front to back throw on the gearstick, and it really cant get much closer to the pivot pin, it could possibly go to the upright part of the shifter but not much difference at all.

Plus the pins are designed so that they dont really come off very easily!!

Cos 5 speed has completely different gear changing mechanism and does not have the same linkage as the 6 speed. would involve modifying the gear section at after taking apart the center console etc. Not worth messing with

What are referring to here? 5 speed or 6 speed?
What do you mean by "could possibly go to the upright part of the shifter but not much difference at all"? The upright bit it is the part for the side to side movement.

If you're talking about 6 speed it can easily be done. See here http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=130335 and other threads
