Hi all,
Sorry if this is answered somewhere else.
I have an 03 Ibiza 130PD, and the boost hosing from the intercooler to the inlet has come off the intercooler. Found it to be a circular clip that has snapped which goes round the outside of the connector holding the pipe into the intercooler connection. Just woundering if i should just go to the dealership to get a new one or there is somewhere better i can pick one up from!
Cheers

A large jubilee type clip or a spring clip (the kind you hold together with mole grips then release when in position) is better than the useless VW one time use crimp clamps. Motorfactor or DIY shop.

Hi saw this thread and had a little look under the intake manifold, got a load of oily gunk/deposits around the pipes under there. However its getting dark now, and I can't see exactly where its coming from.

Is it possible to take off the intake manifold off? so I can investigate better?

Or is it possible to take the metal plate off at the front of the intake manifold.

maybe a better question is "is there anything i shouldn't unbolt and take out whilst looking?"

any help greatly appreciated.

ah rite ok, i'll have a look 2mrw and investigate to see exactly where all the gunk is coming from. if its just breather hoses i'm guessing Ill be able to repair with tape, until i can order new pipes from dealers after the weekend?

rite....had a look around now and cleared away all the dirt n cr*p under there and on these pipes and cannot seem to see any leaks. Gonna have to leave it and see if dirt builds up again to see if i have a problem i guess

As per LEE69s reply mate, on the underside of the intake manifold, its the right hand hose of the two in the middle as you look at it from the front of the car. There's a rubber bandage that holds both of them loosely together.

It was actually £13, parts guy quoted on the wrong part and they didn't have it in stock so I had to drive to middlesbrough in my runabout Golf Mk3 to get it.

You got the actual part number for the hose you bought, i have replaced the bigger y shaped one, and found that the one underneath is split just like yours. Dealers are struggling to identify it.

That is the exact pipe which is gone on mine, Seat gave me a diagram which shows this as part 9A, but no specific part no. Did you get a replacement, if so how much and do you have the part number from the paperwork.

That didn't go on mine, just the one under the inlet and the one to the top of the engine that pipe plugs into.

However.....

As I took the one from the top of the engine, it promptly took away the top of that pipe with the bung bit on straight off it and a couple of chunks out of my fingers :censored:[:@]

Stupid fapping junk they used - and those 1 use jubilee clips are fapping naff too :censored:
