Has anyone heard of these guys? based in scarborough, north yorks. offering remaps at serious prices, and if you are not happy, they revert you to your original map after an hours test!

aernt they not just poxy resistor chips which are always on ebay and then dont actually do a lot??

We heard you the first time and we've still never heard of them even after the third time of asking...

hey hey smart arse!!! no need for that attitude! i posted in 3 forums just in case some people didn't leave their own specific model forum. in an answer to the serious response, no they are a company offering remaps, not the crappyresistors. they work by fooling the your car into over fuelling by giving false temp readings. or some poo idea like that.

Just asking.
Now Mr Coyote, don't spit out your jellied eels or pie, mash and liquer/ (Joking):cartman:

Three forums? I only saw this single thread with the same question in three times...

And mmm pie! As the great Weebl once said. :D

were talking £260, and will give you a test drive on their map for an hour, and if you're not happy, put you back to standard for free if you don't like the map. claim 205 bhp for cupra R beefer, with about 220-240 nm.

I would just be careful that they do put you back to 'standard' and not just a crappy map they have throw together to put on cars that the owner doesn't like.

Reputation says alot nowadays and with something that means as much to you as your car I would only trust people with feedback and come recommended.

Have a good read through the forums (it will take a while  ) and then have another think.

But......companies have to start somewhere so Im by all means not trying to piss on your or their parade mate.

Good Luck

I agree. the thing thats thrown me is- there is not a bit of feed back on here. at least if there was some negatives, i'd know, but there is nothing! i will have a long hard think and make sure thta i have enough money for the worst case scenario if i go down that route. really difficult. i could end up with a decent map at a decent price, or that kid that got locked up for kicking some dodgy :whistle:mans ass!

your car, your money to lose.

If I sold "m0rkpetrol" for 50p a litre, would you put it in the car, even though I could have made it in my garage with no idea on how to make fuel?

no feedback, no users - would you risk it? New ECU for £750, plus the £250 for the unknown map plus any potential damage

There's more cowboys out there than good guys....

Seeing your point mate, but the chances of you refining petroleum spirit from crude oil with a value of around $90usd per barrel would lead me to suspect your fuel was dodgy. however i know nothing about remaps, so i'm totally at a loss on this subject. i emailed Bell auto at york, but had no reply yet. they seem to have fairly good reports.:shrug:

Have you got any of that petrol by the way, cos high street prices are a joke........

Read this feedback from a recent customer with a TDDI 90 Transit:-

"James just a quick text to say thanks very much for remapping my van, going very well with much improved pulling power even though it weighs around 3 ton! Giving brakes some stick now! Just passed MOT first time emissions spot on. Thanks again. Steve"

Do MOT's for oil burners include emissions now?

that website is comedy

It sounds like you have already made your mind up, but have you considered the tuners on this forum with loads of feedback?

We are doing the P-Torque stage 1 maps for £225 all in (one off) until the end of Jan, and normally still only £275 all in for SCN members (usually £345)

If not us, then at least read through the sponsors forum sections for piece of mind from other members.....:)
