...so I took today off to try and sort this out. *Whilst this 3rd bolt was seemingly inaccessible I spoke to Bill who gave me some comfort (if you can call it that), that the bolt is accessible just "b'stard to tighten up" as bill put it. *This gave me hope that it was possible. *I should also mention that I had a horrible feeling that the underside of the mini tubes was fowling on the hotside of the turbo (where the downpipe attaches). *So first thing this morning we did a smoke test and shoved smoke up the exhaust pipe, just to be sure the gases were escaping from the flange, and hey presto they where evidenced by the smoke bellow out into the bay. *Secondly we got an endoscope to look round the back, which after lots of jiggery pokerey we saw that it was touching

. *This meant the nut would not do up no matter what.
The only answer was a spacer so we cracked on making one...pics at last
*
This steel spacer was 6mm thick and meant that I had to nip out and get some longer studs. *OEM studs are 35mm, the new ones were 45mm.
Finally mani in, turbo mated properly and no leaks.
Engine bay as don't think I have ever taken one before
...and one of the car as even though dirty thought the big brakes looking good.
So what's the car like...an animal...still some fine tuning to do and I've got more silicone to fit, home made cold side DV relocation with a forge supersize, but after all that has gone on I'm really happy. *
Note for samb...if thinking about offering the v3 gt2871r eliminator package, make sure the mani is tweaked so it does't fowl on the turbo. *I'll post proper comments later once logged etc.
