Click/Cracking Noise on LCR!!

Well I haven't had my LCR long but already it has got a click/cracking noise when I turn but not every time I turn & sometimes when I go over bumps but not always!
I have searched & read threads before writing this one so think it may be the ARB brushes or something but Im not really sure!!
So today while checking my forge dv that I fitted a few weeks ago I saw this & not sure if I should be worrying about it or if it is connected to the noise that I've been hearing?

Id say this was your top mounts?
I had the same thing on my old polo after fitting coilovers, and needed new top mounts. The noise your probably hearing is the springs pushing back and tacking up the slack
Although that looks like cracking around the welds now

Yeah your top mounts are needing replaced but if that is cracks then I'd be very worried, and get it repaired as soon as possible, a big hit in a pot hole and the strut could go right through

Thanks for the replies, should I just take it to a local garage or a Seat dealership & what price wise am I lookin at?

I wouldnt recommend my local seat dealer so id try a good independent. Any mechanic will know if a bush/mount is worn. New top mounts £40(both) fitting £100-£150(both) but i would recommend allignment after fitting. As for the crack its hard to tell if its paint or weld/metal cracking but get it inspected as you do not want your suspension going throught your bonnet!

Took it to a VAG garage and they said it looks like its had the suspension replaced & it hasn't been fitted correctly on the left hand side cause it's not sitting right in the strut so it's got to go back on friday so they can take the wheel off & have a proper look!!
