Clutch a bit sloppy

The clutch on my cupra feels a little 'sloppy' and spongy. Are the clutches hydraulic on these and if so would the general opinion be to try bleeding it first?

Yeah try bleeding it. I bled mine when i changed my brake fluid and it got rid of the horrible sqeaking and lumpyness it had. Worth a try!

how long does a standard clutch normally last?

I noticed there's alot of give in mine before the biting point but haven't noticed any slipping.

I've done 70k miles...30k of them have been remaped.

60k over here , should last for 120 k depening on your driving style

my standard clutch was busted after 30k :s
