I was there yesterday an they were great the two guys I dealt with. I had £70 off my decat and downpipe due to my exhaust not sitting straight!

Hi did you get it fitted at cobra sport? I have i fitting issues with mine i sent an email and basicly they said adjust the hangers ? They are solid though surely it should be fabricated correctly in the first place mine is a cupra bumper i think they only designed the system on the cupra r which has a smaller bumper hole for exhaust:(

They said the same to me to be honest but they said if it was an exhaust fault and I popped up they would cover my costs. I went up and they give me free fitting on my decat while realigning my exhaust

If Cobra really want to take off they need to start getting it right first time.

Yes the material used is good quality, they sound ace and are a good price to fit in the market, but it's no good constantly having to deal with customers post-sale about fitment issues. It needs to be fabricated perfect from where it's made up.

They are nearly there IMO. I'm not slating them off because they have brought a fresh system to the market and they are dealing with fitting issues well, but now they need to work to stop the fitting issues happening going forward.

:)

Strange that people are having issues now. I bought mine in January and the fitment was spot on and it come complete with all gaskets and bolts. Really hope they sort these issues as the cobra really is a great exhaust

Yeah I seemed to remember you having no issues at all.

Seems a few haven't fitted quite right at the tailpipe end. No biggy for them to sort anyway, I' sure they will :)

And I'm more picky that most I can't even have light switches in different positions so a slightly wonky exhaust kept me up at night

Its not how the tailpipe sits at all...mine sits fine, its how the catback knocks on the rear beam that is the problem. Will not happen on standard road height LCRs or 'slightly lowered' LCRS, but on very low or slammed cars like mine. Mine will have to be modified above the rear beam

My point is it needs to be right first time everytime if it's going to be a top selling off the shelf system. Regardless of tailpipe or further down the exhaust, that's my point... ;)

I put a jubilee clip round my rubber at the back of the rear box which raised it then heated the exhaust and put a very slight kink in it above the beam. My coilies are wound right down and its doesn't knock or hit the rear beam at all now. Even with passengers in the back.

I'm thinking of getting a cobra TB system. I think I'll take my car to Cobra to fit it by the sound of things!
