Yep, give it a go. Might be worth having a quick look at the others to see if they're Js too, and then trying your powers of persuasion with your dealer !

It's a May 03 LCR. I haven't looked yet, but how hard is it to get to 3/4. i've got a ratchet spanner lying around somewhere, do I need anything else?

Really though, dealers shouldn't be adverse to doing warranty work should they? They still get paid by SEAT for it?

For 4 you need an Allen key to remove the mounting above the coil pack to get to it. I'm not suggesting you take them out just to slide the electrical connector back so you can see the part no. on top of the coil pack (carefully with a flat-bladed screwdiver gently prised in the slot on top, you should here a slight click and the connector will pull out backwards. Check 1 that's removed to see how it locates). I'd just take a look at 1-3 for now.

Before the dealer commits to doing any warranty work they want to be sure that SEAT will re-imburse them. This generally means they call them before doing anything, otherwise if SEAT decline after the work's done the dealer (and hence possibly you) is out of pocket.

From memory im almost sure 3 is covered by bracket aswell. I think there are 5 allen key threaded bolts holding bracket in place over the top of 3+4 coilpacks

1+2 easy to get to though
