Coilover, lower strut brace and ARB fitting

The standard OE front ARB is 22mm - the Neuspeed ones most people go for (including myself) are 25mm front, and 28mm rear. I'll get some photos up over the weekend when the wheels are back on

Not sure what difference it has made yet as I'm waiting for my wheels to come back from the refurbishers and need to get it aligned Saturday so I can drive it again properly. I won't be able to say what specific difference any one component has made as I've fitted these all in one go.

Other people have noted noticeable improvements with the lower strut brace though and for ~£20 you can't really go wrong.

My rear ARB has been fitted using Badger Bill's (IbizaCupra) custom made brackets (shown in blue in the photos) which allows the drop links to be aligned much straighter than when using the holes the Neuspeed kit is designed to attach to.

http://seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=151811 goes into more detail on this, and how the ARB should be aligned. The Neuspeed drop links are rose jointed making them 100x better than the H&R ones IMO

Robbie C, Thats a good bit of help i've got the brackets off bill and that thread helped a lot i will put those brackes on next possible opertunity as it will sit them in there a lot better! Take it theres a hole for the nut and bolt to suit just never really noticed it under the coil?

Yeah the hole is already there so it's just plug and play. Remember to set these up on even ground when the car is at rest so it's aligned properly. It can try your patience to get right but there's no point doing it otherwise.

well my lower strut has arrived today! next day delivery is great. will be fitting it tonight. just a matter of releasing two bolts, putting this on, then tightening the bolts??

should be that easy yeah, i've been trying for ages to get the stupid bolts off, and i cant! we had a 4ft bar on it, and still couldnt get them to move

Sounds like I was lucky here then. I used a 3ft torque wrench and just soaked the bolts in duck oil for a couple of minutes beforehand

Mine were tight but managed to get them off used air impact driver just held on for a while seemed to help then got a bar on it.

I reckon u'd do well to snap them as they are pretty big and iirc made of hardened steel.

wheres the cheapest place to get the lower braces? i brought a omp one for me pug but the sit lower and because my pugs lowered it been catching only very rarely but it has scratched it
