Mine done this on an old civic i had. I had forgot to fit a part, might have been the bump stop lol. Or have you had this fitted for a while?

front end is perfect
rear is abit bouncy
its only one side that the coilover has popped up
the other is fine

is it the bolt that holds the cup down to hold the spring down?
to be honest i havent got a clue how to get it down?

had that problem on my golf mk2 on the cupra there is a blocker on the damper to block the first metal ring when you mount it if the blocking on the damper or the ring is broken it will go like on your picture

made a litle drawing

number one is how it should be.
on my damper the the bottom stoper is welded on. orginal damper it is a ring that is a bit thicker

number 2 it`s when it is broken. the ring is to wide or the stoper is broken so i will went threw and not stop.best for you to do is take damper off and see what is broken can take some pictures for you tomorrow if you want?english isen`t my best:rolleyes:

This happened to me on my old polo, it was the cap that sits on top of the spring- the damper was going straight through it.

but my rear coilies werent fitted properly in the first place which caused this.

as a temp fix whilst i awaited replacments caps from hottuning i used a big washer to stop the damper coming through - it worked a treat.

he didnt even check boot for future referance
still failed though. on apparently the front drivers brake hose has been chaffed?
had a slight cut in it but didnt show any of the inner whiter material which is bullshit.
