If its like my tdi one, you simply pull it up at the front first, and then slide it towards you. basically its two rubbers and the front that hold it on, then it slides out a rubber at the back. will post a pic in a min of my engine cover.

Put one hand either side of the dipstick and pull the cover up. Sometimes takes some pulling. Then when they are both released, pull the cover forwards out of the circular rubber at the back. hope this helps. :)

yeah helps a bit, tried pulling it with some force to no avail, does it need quite a reasonable force to get it off? cheers

You can see where the cover fits in at the top of the cover chap. Just up and to the left of the oil cap? slides out of there by pulling it forward when you've popped the rubber ones up off the front.

Maybe its different on yours....dont know. sometimes mine is quite hard to get off. Needs some tugging. don't want to tell you to do it and it break yours! :S wait for someone else to post just to be safe. :D

yeah jus the layout to the petrol 1.2 is a bit of a different layout unfortunately. thanks for the help though!

if it's a mk4 beeza with the standard cover as picture just pull it up bloody hard mate you won't break it:D no other way to work on the engine with it on TBH :)
