is it possible to separate the standard wing mirrors so i can colour code them without taking the mirrors completly off?

The painted part is a cap and comes off if you fold the mirrors in.

If you unclip the cap at the base unit it comes off. Takes a bit of a pull but does come off.

I re-done mine Gloss Black instead of the Red.

Hope this helps.

Im in the same position as you, but my mirrors are black plastic (not painted) is this still a cover that can be pulled off?

yep, fold the mirrors in and you'll find there's a small gap at the bottom nearest to the hinge the mirror has just turned on, pull it from there and it just pops off dead easy!

Gloss black mirrors look the dogs [B)] mr cellotape wouldn'd agree though ;)

I thought so.

The gloss black do look good. But colour coding original black 1s would be a nice touch.

that is just the back of the mirror mate, if you fold it in and pull under the little gap it's just the cover that comes off, it's a dead thin piece of plastic that covers it, you'll still have mirrors, they'll just look a bit ugly for a while!

I got mines for £6.50 each :)

Went for them cause they are cheaper, easier and quicker than colour coding.

go in to a dealer and ask for them, it's a replacement part like a starter motor or a window switch
they only list stuff on the website that are accessories mate
