condensation in new TDi FR headlights

got the car new on Weds last week, and its already got condensation in one of the headlamps (driver side). Anyone else had this problem? Does it go on its own? So far I've been told SEAT won't replace under warranty unless there is actual 'water ingress' as 'condensation doesn't affect performance' - is this correct?
Otherwise - LOVING the car!:funk:

yes very widely covered subject they all steam up, if they are really bad they will take pictures and send them to seat uk to see if they accept to change the lights of fit a vent kit to them!

Just cause i feel sorry for other sufferers,

take off the backs of the lights and let them dry out on a dry day. go for a spin down m.way for 30mins or so.

repeat till all nice n clear.

worked on mine.

Got my FR 20vt on friday last and had one down pour.....condensation on drivers headlight.....its a bit bad......have read all the searches and i'm going to call the dealer......it covers the whole light at times....

I'll give the back off trick a try first though :)

No probs JK, no offence taken!! No didn't get the car from Chadderton, got it from Ted Johnson in Barnsley, they were doing £3k off list price for brand new Ibiza TDi FR, so couldn't possibly turn that down could I?
Have always used Chadderton for servicing up to now though, not decided if I will continue to do so with new car.

Righty - off to find the for sale section!

Hi spyke, yes just figured that out, will have to get busy posting I guess!
How do you find your FR drives? Mine feels like quite a differenct drive to the TDi Sport I had before (110bhp), and being a bit paranoid whether its just the extra bhp on this one and the extra gear that I'm not used to (therefore different gear ratios to the 5 speed) or whether its a problem.

When you say different, what do you mean? I came from a 1.4 Mk2 so think its amazing. I'm used to driving a 6 speed though as I work for Audi, so felt natural but alot faster due to the lesser weight of the Ibiza's. The only thing I don't like about it is that I find sometimes it gets moved around in strong winds.

Do you know thats one of the first things i noticed......coming from a more squareish mk2 as well i though the mk4 would have been more aerodynamic.....
I thought maybe that it was becuase my Mk2 was lowered, but it was never blown around even before lowering. Good to know someone else is experiencing the same thing though, I thought it was me who couldn't drive in a straight line.

getting a little hesitation in the engine when I'm in second or third and slowing in traffic so only just got foot on accelerator, feels like maybe I should be changing down a gear when I don't actually think I should need to be? Hard to describe. Maybe I'm not making enough use of the gears yet, dunno.
