Convoy Meet - CROFT 3/6/07

Right then, in addition to the Camping thread, its about time we started to arrange a meeting point to convoy in, so if all else fails regarding VIP parking, at least we should be all parked in roughly the same area with the General Public !

The same as in previous years gone by, Outside the Comet Pub, for you sat navers, the postcode is DL2 2DA. The pub is just before the bridge on the left, about 2 miles from the circuit.

We really dont want to be leaving any later than 8.45am, so if you could all try to be there by 8.30am it will give us plenty of time.

im travelling down from Edinburgh with my fiance.

whats the public parking like, e.g grass,tarmac etc.

not sure whether to bring the Ibiza (which is low) or the Honda (easy now!)

tarmac roads, leading to grass field parking. Doubt youwill have a problem with a lowered Ibiza.

Are you meeting at the convoy point ?

I wont be at the meet-up, getting there early to bag a place at the top of the embankment between turn 1 and 2, opposite the chicane.

Oh, if anyone see two blokes messing round with a pair of 1/10 scale Team RAC Radio Controlled cars near the entrance on sunday morning, then I'll be the dark haired one controlling the ZS, not the BMW.

I CAN SEE EMPIS' POLE!!!!!!!! Shows up a treat on some of the long shots.

Great result in race 2. Nice to see Darren allowed his rightful place on the podium though people will no doubt whinge about team orders.

Need a bit more panel bashing to get up from pos 7 & 8 in race 3

Well not so hot in Race 3. I'm sure Giovinardi used a nitro boost to get ahead like that. Hope the camping crew had an epic time. Looking forward to reading about it if you can remember anything

Those Vectra's have some poke getting out of the last hairpin. Down to a 2 point gap between JP and Giovanardi, so looking forward to a good battle at Oulton Park.
