Coolant bottle/reservoir socket.

I was looking around under the bonnet today (trying to fit subwoofer haha), when I noticed there was a socket connection on my coolant that had no cable or plug inserted into it.

Is it mean't to?

Its on the top of the bottle, facing the windscreen.

Its for the coolant level sensor but the ibiza's dont have the sensors, they just use the same bottle for most of the VAG range.
