Just a short update.

Switched to 2+1 from 3+1, and the mpg on short trips seem to have gone down slightly, whereas on longer trips, there's not really a difference. It pulls better from low rpm, and i suspect this behavior could be what i see is affecting mpg on shorter trips.

On 3+1 i had around 56mpg from ~600 miles, and still a looong way to go before i can compare on full tank on 2+1.

This week changed from CRDT which had been running 4.1 for a few months, to Trevor, running 1.3
Thought it would be very hard to beat the old 4.1, but a real increase is noticable between the old CRDT and Trevor.
Many thanks again to Andrew and his team, support is 2nd to none and extremley fast delivery times.

We also got a CRDT for our Honda CRV, which we have been testing today, with great results so far.

had a play today with different maps, have been running 1 + 2, tried 3 + 1 and 3 + 2, both felt quite slow and flat compared to 1+2, which feels very smooth, but faster then program 3, but on 1+2, getting a little surging, ie let off throttle, seems like a small surge

Cheers corvettedave
I started on 3+1 then went to 2+1 and 2+2 but have gone back to 3+1 as I prefer the torque kick in around 1800rpm. Might try 1+2 after reading your comments though.

I have been running on 1+1 for some days now on my TDI 150, after running 2+1 for almost a week.

When starting from total stand still in 1st gear, engine not yet up to nominal operation temperature, just starting slowly from my driveway or any other total stop situation, there's a momentarily jutter from the engine, just briefly - but annoying. When the engine is warm, this doesn't occur.
This happens on both map 1+1 and 2+1, but not map 3+1.

Also I think map 1+2 is very similar in MPG on my car, ~50.5mpg, but on map 3 i saw around 56mpg - without Trevor it was ~54mpg

Both Map 1 & 2 gives more torque from low rpm, whereas on map 3 I "the kick" comnes from around 1700-1800rpm.

Running on map 1 or 2, I have also noticed the DPF regen to be more active than normally after stopping, and do mind, that my car is driving around 250-280 miles monday-friday. The past two weeks I have noticed it to be running twice for 5-10 minutes, after stopping the car, not something which I normally have seen this frequent on neither map3 or without the box installed.

So today I have decided to go back to 3+1 - and might try out 3+2 as well soonish.

Hi guys,
I was picking up my new FR182 on Friday afternoon so having read so much on here decided to order a Trevor. Ordered it Friday lunchtime, and it arrived Saturday morning!!!! Thanks DTUK for superb service :)
Anyway, just got round to fitting it and am looking forward to trying it out. Question is... What map does everyone recommend? I saw 3+1 was mentioned alot so went for that to start... Been for a very quick drive about but didn't notice much difference in power? Should I go for 3+2?
I should probably add that my previous car was a mk2 cr170 which had been revo'd.
Anyway, I'll keep you posted of my findings :D

I'm not sure my thinking is right, but do these boxes just expand on the standard map, I.e remain linear, and therefore not giving much in the way of initial shove, where as a Revo map gives you a whack of bottom end torque making the car feel quicker?

As you have only just got 'Trevor' it should have a new map on 1-3 that Andrew has put on. Try that and see how it goes. The others that work well are 2-1 and 2-2, but the newer 1-3 is the best so far. Enjoy

It is much the same as the 'Revo feel' that I had on my Cupra R, plus the added bonus of improved MPG [B)]

Cheers for the tip, I'll give it a try on 1-3 then :)
