Sounds about right! Not 100% but i think it was a ribbed one, it was a few years ago now though.

I ordered the wrong one, and i was a Seat parts manager for years

Martin's engine code was the early type ABF and well before the change date but it used the later style gasket, just meant striping it twice

mine an early abf abf002 something...engine is going back in on the 30th! yipee

well i started off with just a standard rebuild but left it down to a friend to do (extra in lunch hours) so what he does is down to him.. a bit of polishing for sure

oh and an update, went around to find out about my engine, piston rings came today but wainting on some conrods, unlikey be ready tomorrow but as long as its all built to go for monday 30th i dont care a monkeys
