so i rang my local dealer and asked to speak to service, asked the guy at the other end how much to retro fit cruise to 20vT and his response was "dont know if we can do it" i said what do you mean, he said "never done it before, need to speak to head technician and quote you" i said "its a standard car retrofit" he said "dont think you can make it work" i put the phone down....

i looked around, rang Awesome GTI, - yes sir, take an hour, £120 inc of parts and vat

i drove from newcastle to manchester, what can i say, Awesome truly are awesome, great service, great knowledge, great place.

ps the cruise has improved the economy to :) win win:D

so it can be fitted to 20vt cars? might invest, how long did it take?

well it says 178 incl vat on their website, sorry missed the time it takes on the 1st post. If its £120, im going to get it done, doe sthis means that they replace the indiactor stalk with one that has the mfa button or is that the opposite side?

think mine is drive by wire as i have to reset my throttle body with vagcom, its a 2002 (51 plate) leon cupra

Most 1.8t's and diesel cars we can fit cruise to.

Most take an hour and change the stalk on the indicator side.

dealers probs wouldnt have an idea on this.

think i fitted yours the other week heymrjd

Dealers can fit this, they just need to look up all the info - I got it fitted to my Leon last month at the local Skoda dealers, in for an hour and 180quid later I was well chuffed. Could have got it done at Awesome but saved me a long drive there and back.

You may be fitting mine soon, if the price is as quoted £120

Cheers CupraMVR very pleased with my motor when I drove away from Awesome, I get down to Manch on work a fair bit so you'll be getting all my business moving forward.

Just wish I'd discovered Leons a lot earlier in my driving career, I thought my S8 was pretty awesome but at 16miles to the gallon it was costing me more than my mortgage
