Cupra 20v T. Remap

Need advice as I'm thinking of getting a remap to up the bhp to 225 from 180.
Angel Tuning quoted me £300 ish. Anyone used them before? They didn't mention any other needs i.e the need of some sort of valve (sorry...I forgot the name of it). I have previously got a quote from a company and they said I would also need said valve...upping the price to £400.:think:
Also...can anyone recommend a wheel refurb company around the leeds area? Mine are not curbed, but some of the paint has flaked off over time and use of Wonder Wheels.:cry:

Ta very muchly!

Unlikely that you would get 225 out of a 1.8t 180bhp engine or atleast I've not see it with merely software without further engine alterations/upgrades. If you look at this sites ECU sponsors revo,CustomCode etc they mostly claim 200-215bhp. Have a search, plenty of threads about how pleased customers are about recent remaps.

The Forge 007(£80ish) is typically fitted to Cupras and Cupra Rs as its able to handle the pressure from the turbo that the remap will increase. Its easy to fit but that £100 extra seems resanable for map and install. Incidently the stock Bosch dump valve is prone to failure even without a remap, so its worth doing for relaibilitly.

225-235 is basically stage 2 on a 180 LC

You will need a decent DV, decent open cone or panel filter in a box with a good air feed and an uprated TIP

FMIC is reccomended although you can do without it.

If your going Revo or simular you'll also need a 4bar FPR

my stage one LC with a decent air feed, forge dv and cat back exhaust hit 215bhp on the rollers last month.

To be honest though the numbers are irrelevant. A simple remap alone makes the car far more powerful on the road and will make you grin like a lunatic, for a while.

The upgrade bug will then bite you on the arse and empty your bank account as quick as your fuel tank.

Thanks for the replies ;)

Still undecided what to do:confused:

Should I use Angel and not fit any other part and see what happens, or should I upgrade lots of things and prepare myself for bills bigger than Robbie Williams's ego?
