Has any one had any luck getting part numbers or quotes for the sub8 alloys and brembos. I know the option list is a little over £2k but wondering if the accessory sale cost is different

I have a 280 with sub8 package (black).

Ordered 4 new 19 inch alloys a couple of weeks ago, they came today. I work for a dealership, so part numbers are not a problem.

The part number for the black 19inch alloys that suit the brembo's is 5F0071490A KT2.

Little tricky to say what they will cost in UK (I moved to stockholm some years ago, so prices I have are in Swedish Krona), may be the same.

Direct currency conversion from the Swedish price is 920 pound + vat for the four. Stuff tends to be a bit more expensive here, so might be cheaper there.

They are 4 piston calipers, and the fronts are huge. Tried to get 18 inch wheels for winter (you have to have winter tyres here) so i'd have a bit more rubber in the snow. No 18 inch wheels would fit.

Went to a local tyre/wheel specialist who said he could fix it. When we tried they were shocked at how big the brakes were. Even with spacers it woiuldn't work.

Does stop well though :)

Hi everyone, bringing this back from the dead! I'm looking for some advice in regards to upgrading the standard Cupra 280 brakes. I've had the car for almost 5,5 years now and when the stock brakes needed servicing a few years ago I went to EBC GD Sport rotors and Bluestuff pads along with Motul RBF 600 fluid. Apart from the lack of modulation the Bluestuff pads have (something I think the Yellow ones fix) I've generally been happy with the EBCs in terms performance and they don't really fade. Having said that, I am open to trying something else in case there are better options out there. I currently have my eyes on a DBA setup (42830S rotors and DB1865SP pads). Would you say they're better than the EBCs? Also, what else is out there? I'm not interested in retrofitting the 4pot kit because I don't want to fit spacers on the car. Thanks in advance!
