Cupra 280 knocking noise

My Cupra 280 dsg is developing banging noises from the near side front suspension area.
Happens on broken roads and drain covers, had the suspension replaced under warranty but has made no difference.

It's driving me mad they can't fix it, has this happened to any other owners or will I just have to get rid of it as a trade in?

Same noise?

That's the noise my car made.

Dealer replaced the lower control arm which fixed it. But, the noise came back. So they replaced the front hydraulic dampers. The car still makes the noise, BUT, it only happens once in every 6 drives and that's if I nail it over a pothole like a loon.

Not quite the same noise, it's more like a vibrating bar or two metallic parts banging together.

Had wheel bearings changed to they thought it could be that.

A google search came up with the idea that the platform the car is built on has problems with subframe bolts, I'm no mechanically minded so don't know if that could be feasible.

Cars going back in next week to go on a chassis machine whatever that is.

What's really annoying is going to collect the car after they say they fixed the problem and it's made no difference, the technicians at Emmer green Seat must be hard of hearing.

Chassis machine is probably chassis ears which Seat used to locate my knocking on the rear

I think I may have found the cause of the problem, nothing to do with the suspension, but looking under the bonnet to the right of the battery there is something black I don't know what it is but if I bang it with my fist it makes the same noise as I get when driving.

Tried to stuff some rags down the sides to stop the noise but didn't work as it's hitting something metal underneath and I can't get to it.
