Hi all,

I'm at the same position of all rith now. I have a new Cupra ST 4drive 2019, and I want to install a diferent exhaust, but I'm in a big dubts.
Fist time I have a Remus GPF-back option, and the other one is to install the silencers of (Cupra ST R o Golf Variant R), but I don't know the correct serial number part.

Althought, If I will find the oem codes for these silencers I will try to install RS4/6 style tips in these doble (Cupra ST R or golf Variant R) exhaust.
I’d be surprised if the RS Tips fitted, they’re smaller overall that the 2 x oval tips. Although the pipe before the tip maybe small enough.

I thought the Golf R had flaps like the S3. If I remember right on the outer pipes as these are often cleaner.
Does the Golf R estate have flaps if not is the rear section on the hatch or S3 the same shape/fit.

As you point out, it seems the Golf R has flaps, yes, but not on the Estate version.
... incidentally, I saw a Golf R hatch driving away from the lights the other day and it sounded glorious ;)

Some of the Golf Rs don't even have the inner tailpipe connected.

Mk7 Variant doesnt have the tailpipes connected with the exhaust, they are bolted to the bumper, only one exhaust pipe is coming out from the back boxes, thats why the inner tailpipe isnt “connected” and only outside is smoking/getting dirty. Thats the exhaust ive installed under my ST.

That’s only the pre facelift Golf R estate. The facelift Golf R estate has 4 working pipes. This is what what the Carbon and ST R have. Although the ST R has the GPF/PPF version with no resonator.

Yes you can, but at a high price.. Alternatively you could modify your current diffuser. It can be cut and heat moulded to accommodate the double tipped back box.

As others have said yes, but it’s not cheap. But as you’ve bought the carbon fibre spoiler I suspect you know that already lol

Best option is to find a black edition golf r estate in a dealership etc and take a pic of the LH rear back box. however be aware this is the assembly number. If you then take this to RPS (check the dealership/parts area on this forum) they should be able to find the separate back box part no which off memory aren’t too expensive.

If you look back in this thread I did post some part no’s

This is the cupra r st

Well there is a golf r estate close to me that apprently has the black pack. Went to have a look today however looks like the pipes may have been sprayed. Would help if your could provide me with an example as a google search doesn’t bring much up. However heres some pics....

They’re a bit slow on Facebook Messenger these days, I think Mike the guy who used to be in charge has left.
Maybe best to give them a ring.
