Funnily enough my issue was paint related too on the back bumper.

I live in the north East and so Dom has arranged the local Lookers VW dealer to put it in their body shop to fix it.

Can't argue with that for service

Yes that's excellent service. It appears from the CUPRA parts catalogue that the front valance section to which I referred earlier is a simple "3 screw" on/off affair, so i've asked Dom to arrange for his parts guy to send me a box fresh part and I will fit myself if I can. If not, and it requires adhesive and other nasties, then he's happy for my local Cupra/Seat dealer to do the honours, at his expense. Can't say fairer than that really.

Are you happy with the car otherwise? I love driving mine, but do really need to spend a bit more time getting my head around the infotainment / driver settings etc

Yeah loving the car, had a good drive home from Stockport to figure out some of the various settings and options lol

Snaffled a VZ Edition. Trying not to sound like a w****r but had a Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio previously. Cant fit mtb/skis/surfkit inside that thought and tbh its really expensive so didn't replace it with a stelvio.... Really miss the torque and poke, the steering feel and responsiveness but the alfa was a beast and so far im enjoying the formentor loads! (silly piped engine sound aside)

The Soundaktor can be coded off or physically disconnected if you want to.

Or you can set up a driving profile in Individual and set the Sound to comfort so it isn’t on.

Thanks Maypack, I might have to disengage it somehow. But tbh isn't it just unnecessary in the first place? Im sure this has been endlessly discussed... weird that its even a thing though....

It's going to be tough coming from a Quadrifoglio. If you want to disconnect the fake sound, here is a link to a guide - https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/soundaktor.464620/post-4964551

It's easy to do, although the disconnecting of the connector requires some wiggling.

When you disconnect it, you'll realize why they added it. The engine just doesn't have any noise which is a problem for a sporty car.

It’s a big thing in fast 4 pot engines with a lack of interesting sound about them.

I’ve just been told my Formentor VZ2 has been built and in transit to the port. They said it hasn’t been assigned a ship yet and to call back in a few days to find out whether it has been assigned a ship? Once I have the ship name I can track the progress via www.marine traffic.com a bit sad I know but its nice to see progress.

Not sad at all, exciting mate, I would have done the same but I fortunately didn't have a big wait and the dealer was very accurate with my delivery date etc. Remind me have you opted for midnight black and black leather?

Hi Rick
I ordered Magnetic Tech Grey with black leather, panoramic roof, towbar and the extended safety pack. Have you launched your car yet?

Oh yes that's right I remember now. No I've not had chance to just yet, had to get home for father in law's bday. Will at first chance now though, first time I've let 2nd and 3rd gear run through completely today and it was an exciting experience let's put it that way.

Decision made and order placed!

Current lease deal on my Cupra 290 is coming to an end and fancied a change.
Work scheme is now offering electric cars so have an ID.4 on the way as well so thought would balance out "saving the planet" with another petrol guzzler!

Gone for the VZ2 in graphene grey and blue interior, build week was 14 and had an update through that its on its way to the port so hoping for delivery in early May

Our cars where built the same week so may be on the same ship coming to the UK. Do you know which port your car will be delivered to? I know mine is going to Sheerness in Kent. I am trying to find out what the name of the ship will be so it can be tracked.
