:clap:welcome to the club! I assume you were impressed with it?

Yeah it was the second one I have driven, pretty decent nick, just a few chips and wheel knocks which were to be expected, it’s a late 2011 so has the new media system so easy sync up of music which is a nice extra compared to the other one I looked at, they are going to do the cam followers and cam belt / water pump. Pick it up next week, can’t wait.

I'm guessing you don't fancy a ride to the peak district on Saturday to meet us all lol give us mk2 boys a good go against the MK3 Cupras...

My wheels had some knocks and still do... It's on the list.

You got some nice detailing stuff ready for the first clean?

It’s a mk2 just in the better white colour....,

First job is to get my other car gone, then get the roof re wrapped in black, wheels, paint chips and a pro shine.

Or maybe that’s the second job as first job will be not to lose my licence on the 2 hour drive home when I pick it up, lol.

It drove much better than the first one which had been lowered poorly and bounced badly under breaking and scrubbed on roundabouts, although had only done 42k, where as this one is lovely and standard but 67k. And the sound puts amazing smile on my face and will for many years to come I’m sure. Awesome.

Get the front bumper lip wrapped black and a TRC front splitter on that and she will look mean as you have the black roof to complement your all the black.

Good work! Great looking car!

Can anyone confirm if the Cam followers are part of the cam belt change kit?, I’m having cam belt done before I pick it up and they don’t know what the cam followers I’m asking to be changed are.

Nope. It's not. It's what drives the high pressure fuel pump.

Don't want to get highly technical, but its the bucket thingy with four holes in it that you replace. It goes on the spring thing from the fuel pump. Basically every time the camshaft turns, a lobe pushes against the bucket thing and drives the HPFP. But it can wear.

Brilliant thanks for your help, I’ve sent the link to the Skoda garage, you’d think they would know what it is....

Yeah, I'm kind of worried they don't. But effectively if they take off the high pressure fuel pump, it'll smack em in the face! Literally!

Do we tell them not to open the drivers door so it doesn't prime the fuel lol

Ok, now they know what part it is they aren’t prepared to do it whilst doing the cam belt as it’s the other side of the engine and a separate job so £80 charge, main dealer criminals, diy job it is then.

Yeah, I went from heated cloth seats to non-heated leather seats. But TBH, the heated seats just gave the sensation I'd :censored: myself. LOL. Plus in winter, I'd have freezing cold body/hands and my :censored: would be on fire. LOL.

I've come from a Focus with heated everything lol i've never missed anything from car to car but I miss my heated steering wheel haha I find heated seats are a little rubbish as it heats up your butt but nothing else... I didn't really use them so going to the R I was happy I had comfy seats lol
