Well yeah of course, but there's only one of you here - or is there :-o

As Simon said, if you're passing MK or N'hampton or St Ives for that matter - we've got meets there. Nothing especially Seat related, more chitchat than anything else - and you'd not be the only women there ;)

No problem hun we dont bite theres a link in my sig

No comment to the above
However as to the meet thing, i've just asked my mate and he's up for it so we'll be over to the meet on the 15th :D ( he may bring his mate who owns a cupra too)

Fistly hi from an old memeber;)

Well it's been a while since ive been on this site, as for the last 3 months i have been a VERY PROUD owner of a Astra VXR :funk:

Can't honestly fault it one bit, the way it performs and just holds the road is awesome!! (oh......torque steer is easily sorted if you have arms, just hold onto the steering wheel!!!!!) Does'nt compare to my mk3 ibiza cupra at all. Mine is standard at the moment and I've had play's with a few leon cupra R's and there is not much in it however i was pulling away ever so slightly. Who knows a different day a different outcome...........maybe!:roflmao:

As lots of you said each to there own, these cars all weight the same, all produce around the same power, just enjoy your cars!! I like the LCR and was very tempted when i was looking for a new car, but just fancied a change from a SEAT, and boy what a change, loving it

Would quite like a poke around the VXR too - that's cool as long as it's not snowing and -23 in the carpark!

Feels more solid than the Ibiza at a guess?

well there's a VXR and ST meet going on in feb so i figured i may aswell see what i was up against LOL! x
and yeah i'll come along, i'll bring another VXR owner aswell tho (don't wanna be out numbered lol) :D

I'm going to that meet mate.. I'm 270 Horse! on the VXR Forum. So i'll be trying to keep the LCR flag flying high.. lol :D

As for this debate.. I think you guys will find a lot nicer welcome on the VXR sites than this fella has got.. I did.
Who gives a **** which one is better, that'll always come down to own prefference IMO. I personally love the VXR and will be having one as soon as my LCR goes back at end of year. But some people hate them, frankly I don't give a shite..
In performance terms they'll be close, no doubt. But i'd fancy the VXR if I had to choose. But it is a good 5 years newer than the LCR, so it should be a better all rounder in general. As much as i like the LCR, it is getting on a bit now lets not forget.
But I still think the 1.8T engine responds better to mods and remapping.. As the 210/225 engine will end up being 265/270, where as the VXR remaps to about the same but is some 15bhp more from standard.. Same with stage 2/3 and so on..
End of the day, i'll be happy once i've got my VXR remapped and for the time being, i'm still just as happy in the Tank... lol:D

Even bloody better.. Proper looking car that sweetheart.. Top marks!
Hang on 2 secs, you wasn't going up the A1 (Northbound, approaching Colsterworth RA) on monday morning was you, as my mate text me saying he'd just seen a spot on looking VXR, with dark rims, carbon bonnet and private plate (can't be that many about)... Small world if so.. lol
What's the owner look like by the way? ha...
