Good power ;)

On a slightly different note, there's not much, if any difference in power between the std LCR and the APR'd ones.... how odd..?!?!?!

Yeah, that was commented on at the time & subsequently too.

Seeing as the std LCR's figures were pretty much spot-on the general concensus was that the WHP figures are accurate but the debate rages on about the clutch (fly) figures....

I (and others) am quite astonished at the figures my std Cupra obtained - so much so that soon I'll be back there for a closer inspection....some say the car could've been remapped prior to me buying it but I got it brand-new from a dealer so perhaps SEAT are giving a few lucky punters souped-up motors....;)

Yours is standard..... WOW... even more impressive... yeah, I've read many times that VAG power figure as standard, are usually quite conservative... but 175bhp is very good indeed :)

(need my eyes tested, your sig has 'standard' in it too)

175bhp at the wheels!!!!,

what is it standard at the wheels~? 135ish???

I hate to say this - but IT IS standard!

:D

As I have said earlier I am supposed to be heading back to Awesome at some point in the near future for them to re-run it and have a closer look at the map, it hasn't been touched since I bought it brand-new last August so I am puzzled as to how an engine rated as 160bhp @ the fly can make 175 @ the wheels.

Not that I am complaining obviously!:cartman:

That is a very healthy figure.... :)
I wonder what a remapped would dyno at?
REVO reckon 200bhp and 300lb /ft

What was going on with the Leon Cupras? :(

The LCR owners didn't seem too bothered....from what I remember all the std LCR's were pretty much 225bhp @ fly whilst the modded ones were higher.

One thing I think all the modded lads found is that on Awesome's RR their cars were not as powerful as they'd have hoped or been told by whoever done the tuning....

Won't transmission loses etc be greater than what the graphs suggest?

According to Dynojet RR's the transmission losses they see are always much lower that other dyno's....what isn't in dispute are the actual WHP figures obtained that day - the std LCR 225 put down about 205bhp and the modded ones up to 225bhp.

186 bhp not 160 good stuff the cupra tdi is a beast!

not worth £400 for 15bhp more is it (revo)

I believe mine would reliese more that 200 at the flywheel with this remapp
and great to see not much tranmission loses!
I'm looking for 210bhp with remap exhaust and adjusted air intake. shouuld easily get it if some are running 186 standard!

p.s nice colour car ;)

Who are you remapped by mate?

Mine made almost exactly 200 bhp (corrected from 208) at the fly and 300 lb ft, albeit with a little clutch slip - so probably another 20lb ft there or so if the clutch would only take it :( .

WOW!!!! and i only thought it had 160, my boyfriends jaw just dropped! his pushes out approx the same after a remap! I'm going to change my caption! :D

id either say its a optimistic dyno

or if its a second hand car its been remapped and the owner hasnt let on for fear of putting off potential buyers , looks like a low boost map too because the torque isnt that mad
