trumpetman got the car from new, im the second owner. The car was approx a year old when that dyno was done, would be interesting if i did it again now!
or if its a second hand car its been remapped and the owner hasnt let on for fear of putting off potential buyers , looks like a low boost map too because the torque isnt that mad
Mine made 170BHP pre remap (not sure if this is wheels or fly power). And 200 post map.
The turbo will go pop if you put much more than 200BHP through it. So unless your going hybrid i'd keep the remaps at or below 200BHP and torque at or below 300.
On a side note on the Awsome rollers my modded 106 GTi 120BHP standard got 130BHP at the wheels and 142BHP at the fly. It was the highest powered 106 of the day. This was with a induction kit, decat and full exhaust. I had a L/B fly wheel and 4-2-1 manifold fitted after that. personally I think the Fly hourse power may be a little high. I'm no expert though.
If fuelling is done by MAF rather than MAP then it's possible a faulty MAP sensor can deliver this sort of gain, also a restricted MAP line can do the same thing. I've seen a new car deliver more boost than spec due to a MAP sensor fault & a good way to get a few more lbs of boost out of a yota S3-GTE engine was to put a restriction in the MAP line.
