Just reading from a thread linked here - http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=122737 - I just thought I'd work out how many litres people were putting in & calling it "full"

Bit sad I know, but certainly interesting - and hard to compare guesstimates on what your range is etc

Code:
MPG	Range	Litres used
27	300	50.56
42	400	43.33
24	265	50.24
42	490	53.08
25	300	54.60
25	300	54.60
21	240	52.00
42	475	51.46
32	380	54.03
50	600	54.60

Surprising how much attention a lot of you pay!

I bought my Leon as it did everything I wanted, got bored of it chipped it.

So now my "girly" car is a LCR with a more attractive body and 4wd.

Come on admit it, you want my ass?
You made a big song and dance out of it...As for the styling well my girlfriend and her friends want one which sort of says it all.

As for it being 4wd shame it handles like a mk4 golf.

At the end of the day Andy you bring all this to yourself by saying stupid comments.

Well theres so many factors to each person hence Rob said he would take an average of all inputs.. i mean alot of mine is becuase i rarely "fill" the tank and only have short trips and alot of stand still idling waiting for the missus to pick her up... inlcuding the install and AC which drains my car of juice... lol

Very true that's about my average but recently managed a 700 tank but have had up to 63L in my 55L tank before.

Haha bless you. Does yours not handle like a mk4 Golf then?!

Do you read reviews on girls or go by girl factors... the Leon has always been better set up than a Mk4 golf...
Thats without touching the point that RobM other post asked for average MPG and range.. you stating a revo 600 miles and 50mpg... well to get an average of that, you must have done over and above that 600 miles otherwise you had to get 600 miles out of every tank... which i find hard to believe.

So lets be grown up Andy and play nice.

Grown up, why does everyone find it hard to believe that I get a minimum of 600 miles per tank?! Do I need to tell you again my weekly commute is 600 a week and most of it is on the motorway cruising at 70? I'm not the only one that sees those figures either.

End of the day they're all mk4 Golfs!

m0rk - That does make interesting reading and a good point. I guess it's hard to accurately judge this though, as like slick says, not everybody runs the car to empty and performs a full fill up after.

I'll remember those calculations though and see if there is any way of incorporating it into the published figures.

Oh, I've got the insurance prices now too, so they will be added to the spreadsheet :)

This link is worth a read. Does anybody know what co2 band the TDi is in?

http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/HowToTaxYourVehicle/DG_10012524

(edit) Just looking at that link....

If I've assumed right in saying the TDi is in band F for diesels, it costs the same to tax each year or 6 months as an LCR.

Both appear to be £205 per year and £112.50 for 6 months.

(edit again) Looking again... all the bands are the same for petrol and diesel cars? Has that changed recently, as I always thought diesels were cheaper to tax?

A quick Google shows your right... 146g/kg

So that makes it band C at £115 per year and £63.25 for 6 months
