no i didnt lacquer it and yes i know it will dull but i dont have a suitable place to lacquer it.
i dont think it was very high grade aluminium but the buffing wheels ive got are crap so i wasnt ecstatic about the finish. i am looking at getting it chrome plated, or will polish it again and then lacquer, but time at the moment is quite hard to come by.

You would of prob been better off just being more carefull while turning it and getting the finish at that stage it wouldnt even have needed polishing, but with ally i find a fine wire wool brings the finish up.

I think it looks really good, might get a bit cold, I know the aluminum part of mine does!

yeah i thought of that when i put it on made me laugh a bit and got some funny looks from my neighbors - hunched up in my car laughing = weirdo
