Hi everyone.
In urgent need for some advise
I have a 04 LCR stage 1 remap approx 270bhp. Having major issues with the turbo. firstly i am sorry but i dont have a boost gauge to explain the psi etc.
Basically to start with i thought i just had a boost leak, found a split in a boost pipe so replaced that, still no better. very loud whistling noise more like a whoosh and when reaching around 3k rpm turbo would splutter.
up until last week that was the case but had some issues with the crankshaft sensor, had that replaced (separate issue) but now the whistling (whooshing) noise has stopped but getting no boost now but can hear the turbo spooling. no white smoke etc
Have ordered a n75 valve to eliminate that, also considering replacing the actuator but my question is... is it worth it? or is it just best off replacing the turbo as the car has covered 130k miles? if so without taking my turbo off to check the part number, will it be the K03s or k03 in the cupra r?
