Looking to remove the dash from my seat ibiza so I can respray it as its started to peel. Any ideas how to do it? Got to this part so far but want the silver bit (black in this photo) that goes around the vents out. Is it the whole dash out job?

The dashboard is one piece, so you cannot take out just that part to spray it. You have to take out the entire dashboard, which is not that simple and involves taking out the steering wheel, instrument cluster. You also have to be careful with the passenger airbag, it is bolted on the dashboard.

Are you talking about the curved plastic underneath the fan/AC controls? If so, then yeah, just yank it out. Try to pull towards the boot, getting your fingers inside the 2 semi-circular holes near the bottom of it. There are only 2 clips holding it in, (the 2 green ones at the bottom of the pic above).

I mean the bigger piece that surrounds the stereo etc, missing in thhe pic above.

Not that weird. See loads of broken ones where folk haven't removed all the screws. Definitely 7 though. T20 is right

yeah i was reading a thread about this where it never mentioned the bottom 2 screws before i removed mine for spraying, luckily i didn't snap it before i found them.
