umm none of this heating up business, all i did was clean the car thn used dental floss to saw away through the glue foam holding the badges on, thn just used really hot water and a cloth to get rid of the excess

I did it in a different way. Seat resprayed the tailgate under warranty because of a patch of thin paint, so I said don't put a badge back on
