Hi, I've had my lcr for a short while and whilst all seems to be well with it i would like the eml light to go off on the dash.

The car has a miltek exhaust and decat which is the reason the light is on. I have seen adapters which screw into the boss and then the lambda sensor screws into this, effectively its just a spacer - my question is has anyone used one for the reasons im describing and did it work?

Thanks, Gareth.

Excellent, I'll get one ordered. So go for 90 degree rather than the shallower angled one, there doesn't look to be much room under there to fit it in, which is why I presume the 90 is better.

Thanks Gareth

Will fail an MOT with a decat as a catalytic converter is a legal requirement to reduce emissions.

Unless you know the correct people you'll need to put the cat back on, probably whole original exhaust will be easier, before MOT day.

Yes - will not pass MOT with decat fitted, keep the standard cat for that time of year I guess.

Depending on how clean your engine runs some cars will pass the TEST without one, but still fail as it states there should be one fitted.

You can get 'Fake' CATs which look like the real thing but are a through pipe, but you may as well fit a sport CAT , I couldn't be arsed with having to change it over!

Cars that were pre 1991 (i think) didn't require CATS.
