Surely the only body panels that are different on the FR/Cupra/Boc are the bumpers, the rest would be the same?
I though the way it worked was that they waited untill a certain number of orders for similar specced cars came in and then did them all in one go.
I read that on here somewhere, but it could be totally wrong.
it would make sense that one week they build cupra/bocs, and next week another? why would they just do it by which ever gets more orders? if they did that why did i get told that each week they build a version of the car? and obviously so has someone else?
I never said it wouldn't make sense, and I never said that I was 100% certain that's how it’s done, all I did was suggest an alternative theory that's equally as valid.
I'm not going to question your proposal it could be entirely plausible, but I will however answer the questions you have asked about mine.
why would they just do it by which ever gets more orders??
The reason why they would do it by which ever gets more orders is that they wouldn't have to change all the equipment every single week. They could spend 2 weeks building TDI Sports for example, then a week building Cupras. (Disclaimer: This just an example!) In my opinion it makes no sense to allocate equal build time to all models when I'm sure bog standard models outsell Cupras.
That's my justification for my theory, as I said in my first post, I read this somewhere on this site, and using my open mindedness, and common sense I decided this would be the most logical way to make cars, if you can provide a logical reason as to why it would make economic sense to change the production line every week, then I could well be swayed to change my opinion.
if they did that why did i get told that each week they build a version of the car? and obviously so has someone else?
I'll answer that question when you can show me where in this thread I said that your statement is complete and utter trash and I am completely correct.
Unless I have an alter-ego on this forum who posts on my behalf, I don't believe I did, so I can't answer that question. What you were told, could be completely correct, however you haven’t mentioned who told you that, additionally I made pretty clean that what I said was not a fact, I was never told this by a
dealer, and if a
dealer told you that's how they do it, then who am I to argue, but I've been on this forum long enough to know that you can't take what the
dealers, or even SEAT UK say as gospel.
As I've said I'm not going to denounce all other possible theories just because I have a different opinion!
Apologies if you think I'm coming across a little strong, but I don't see why you need to interrogate me, when I clearly stated what I had written was nothing more than what I had previously read on this forum.
I'm not normally a keyboard warrior, I guess you've just caught me on a bad day.
