as above, if you do get it to work and is picks up a wheel speed sensor fault then its normally down to the air gap on the sensors, which is caused by rust build up forcing the sensor outwards creating a bigger air gap/incorrect reading take the sensor out using alot of plusgas before hand remove the sensor and clean up the area and hole

I can't find the DLC diagnostic port on my 96 SXE TDi. I've looked in the location, but it's empty. There is an LED for the alarm system on the blank switch, so may have been moved if it exists on a 96 TDi? What do the pins/connectors look like? What colour are they as I have some 'orphan' connectors around the fusebox.

One is black and the other white both as illustrated on the pic you linked to.

Mine unclipped themselves when I tried to use them through the hole. I grabbed them from underneath and plugged in that way.

Mmmn, I wonder if TDi models are the same as petrol models. That is, may not have one!

Well, I can't find any even though I have unhooked the fuse block. There are plenty of co-ordinated 'uncoupled' connectors which don't seem to do anything though. They are wrapped in foam. Red ones, white ones, blud ones.

Had another look today, pulled up the bunch of wires behind the fake switch and bingo!:) Looks like the alarm installers considered their flashing LED was more important than the OBD ports!
