i was told VW revised the items , but thought perhaps something better out there

have emailed seremotors , will see , as il start to gather prices up etc

is there other things worth considering replacing or is glynnd's list all thats needed

the garage has said to fit a new timing belt kit the same time even tho it was done 9k ago

well gathering some prices up,

carnt see it being the cam tho can it , it runs fine , just the starting back up when hot thats the problem,

do have a bluish white smoke on first start up which clears and no smoke at all when driving not like before, used to leave puffs of black when booting it a bit

runs better because we reset the basic injector settings. will run ok for a short while but the cam and tappets are very worn, as are some of the followers and will end up causing more damage if left as it is. the lobes on some are so worn they are flaired

had an email form gareth to quote the labour which seems a fair price 200+vat (glynns accurancy was spot on !!

can you give a full breakdown of what i need to supply ? as il get them ordered up asap then via tps

Andrew, have you changed any o-rings on the injection components?

Heat = expansion

Dodgy fuel which is contaminated = not comaptible with o-rings?

Something maybe expanding slightly when hot, and a o-ring may be out of tolerance, the ECU may not be seeing the right pressure somewhere which is causing a no start.

Do our cars have a injection pressure regulator?
