right im new to the world of Seat motors so got a couple of simple quetions that i hope you lot can answer for me...

What is the difference between a Seat Leon Cupra R & T? is it just the bhp?

What is the likely insurance quote for a Seat Leon Cupra R (aged 25, 3yrs ncb)

Not sure what you mean by T

You have the leon cupra 20vt (valve turbo) 180 bhp

or

The leon cupra R which is also a 20vt.

The R is top of the range with optional 210 early models or 225 later models. both are the same except a few differences so hit the search button and you will find plenty of info.

A cupra R is group 17 for both the 210 and the 225. With 3 years no claims you should be well under £1500 depending on area you live in bla bla bla.

I went for the cupra R cos it has everything i wanted plus a bucket load of potential. Check out peoples and pics and mods but dont underestimate the standard 20vt cupra as they too have a great potential

hope this helps

thanks for that. i think the cupra r's are a lil out of my price range. kinda over £8000, but can pick up a cupra vt for under that.

cupra vt you can get decent one for around £6000. thats pre 2003. The face lift comes with diiferent alloys and different bumpers. These are the most obvious changes. The face lift for me looks better than the old one but there are plenty of kits you can get for them. If you want an facelift cupra then you should be looking around £8000. It might be worth pushing the boat out and getting the R.

Circa 28-30mpg ave

Depends on how heavy your right foot is.

If it's not quick enough spend a £1000 on it and get circa 210-220bhp (Remap, Dump valve, fuel pressure Regulator)

If you've got 8k to spend you could always get a non-R Cupra for say £6k, spend £500 on a remap and you've got a 200+ bhp motor for £6.5k.

I find petrol a bit of a shocker, don't let the fact its only a 1.8 fool you, if you drive hard you will be filling up a lot.
