differences between 2.0 8v gti and gti cuprasport

Two quick questions what are the fundamental differences between the two cars??

And do they have the same engine, gearbox, exhaust etc etc???

GTi has ABS and Sunroof

Cuprasport doesn't have ABS, might have sunroof (but won't be a factory one)

Mine is a GTI Cupra Sport, and does have ABS

It's basically a mish mash from what I've read/seen/experienced.

I looked at a Cupra Sport down in Southend a long time ago and that had a sunroof option installed, from the factory according to Wez.

this is the confusing bit.

many gti's were badged as cupra sport's to get rid of them.

so you can have an 'older' gti rebadged as a cupra sport, registered as newer, then sold at the cheaper price. bizarre, but cleared the docks

It's on as a 99 March registered T reg.

It's not rebadged, they just added a badge below the GTI

Gti = The daddies

Is your sunroof pressed in? or does it have a rubber seal all the way around it?

erm not too sure, think it has rubber seal. its manual if that helps

My late registered T reg Cupra sport:
no air con, no sunroof

but it definately has ABS - ive had to used it once (may i add old lady in micra doing 24 miles per hour on a backroad at night...)

That'l be a dealer fitted one then. Factory ones are pressed into the roof skin with no seal.
