SLOW work in progress....

Since my remap i've noticed that my car boosts more or less depending on when in the rev range you stick your foot to the floor. Has anyone else noticed this. When overtaking for instance if i keep the revs low and use the torque i doesnt seem to be as quick or boost as hard as say keeping the revs between 3-4000 revs and then putting my foot down. This may be a characteristic of the 20v T but i'm not sure. Has anyone got any ideas. I currently have the middle spring in my D/V.
Cheers...

Most of your boost is usually delivered(map dependant) between 3-4k, when the turbo spools up you will get a peak of boost, maybe 1.6bar and then it drops the higher up the RPM range, probably about 1.1bar by redline. My LCR is pretty much dead before 2.5k as the turbo needs to spool up.This is normal behaviour, unless your go to stage 2 you will hold boost longer.Remember this K04 turbo is relatively small and the stock BAM 225 engine has some restrictions on the DP and cat, from you sig, you are probably maxed out at 276bhp for a K04.

Is this what you are talking about?

I think you have hit the nail on the head there, Rob. Maybe its the perception you get from lower revs, that its not pulling as hard when in fact it is. I just remember reading somewhere that these engines prefer to be gradually floored than quickly planted... :)
