All you need is 1x m8 bout 40-50mm can always cut it 2x washers 1x nylon nut sorted the metal is piece of pisshhh to drill through

Am I right in thinking the thread of the bolt will be in contact with the inner bush and maybe rubbing it away?
It may be worth going for a size smaller bolt and placing a plastic sleeve over the the thread to act as protection and a roller?
My father-in-law has made me a pin just like the one xd-date-ii made (http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showpost.php?p=1867493&postcount=44).

Having just spoken to him, he said it was a bit of a pain to make; mainly cos his lathe isn't ideal for such small fiddly things (plus his eyesight is not what it used to be lol). If it works fine and was easy to make I was gonna see if others wanted one too (for a small fee). But I'll wait til I speak to him in person and until it's been fitted.
That's what mine is one of those made pins, i had a guy on another site make it on a lathe.
