Do Fulda & Sava just get given tyres by Goodyear?

As above or do they actually have any input in them themselves?

From pictures I have seen the Fulda sportcontrol 2 and Sava Intensa UHP 2 look like they have the same tread pattern but have scored differently in tests. Are they effectively the same tyre given to them by Goodyear?

I think in the past people have mentioned that the original Fulda sportcontrol looked very similar to one of the old eagle asymmetric tyres.

Before anyone says why am I looking at these tyres for purchase and I should get PS4's or crossclimates, Im not. Just simply interested to know if anyone has any knowledge about Goodyears sub brands.

All main brands (Goodyear, Bridgestone, Kumho, etc) update their range every few years and sell the patterns to the cheaper makers. Although the patterns look the same the compounds are likely to be different (harder rubber, etc) which is why the rating wont be the same.

If you're looking at the tyre labels for noise, wet weather grip, economy, etc then take it with a pinch of salt as the ratings are supplied by the tyre makers themselves as there is no governing body to do the tests

Yes I have seen this in the past with the very budget tyres like Wanli etc. I think they had a pattern that looked the same as a michelin pilot sport.

Although with these two brands they are owned by Goodyear so the patterns would have more likely been passed down rather than sold. In terms of rubber compound that is more interesting as they are owned by Goodyear.
